Smart GPRS/MMS Settings

Go to Menu=>Settings=>Connections=>Connections=> Advanced =>Edit Profile=>Advanced=>Select Networks
Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using: Select Smart Internet Programs that automatically to a private network should connect using: Select Smart WAP Settings
Go to Messaging=>MMS=>Menu=>MMS Configuration =>Servers
Highlight Smart Server, Press Set as Default
Text “GPRS ON” to 333 to activate your GPRS and MMS status with Smart

* If surfing or MMS sending does not work or results in an error, please proceed to the next step for manual setting.

GPRS and MMS
Go to Start=>Settings=>Connections=>Connections
Under Smart Internet, Select “Manage Existing Conditions”
Modem: Smart GPRS, press Edit
Enter a name for the connection: “Smart GPRS”
Select a modem: “Cellular Line (GPRS)”
Press Next
Access Point Name: “Internet”
Press Next, Finish

Heading at the upper left side should show “Smart Internet”
Select Proxy Settings
Click the box of “This network connects to the Internet”
Click the box of “This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet”
Proxy Server: Enter “10.102.61.46”
Click Advanced..., Click HTTP
Port: Enter “8080”
Press ok.

Heading at the upper left side should show “Network Management”
Programs that automatically connect to a private network should connect using:
Click “New...”.
Enter a name for these settings: Enter “Smart WAP Settings”
Select Modem, Click New...
Enter a name for the connection: Enter “Smart MMS”
Select a modem: Select “Cellular Line (GPRS)”
Press Next
Access Point Name: Enter “internet”
Press Next, Press Finish, Press ok
Return to Main Menu

 

WAP
Go to Start=>Internet Explorer=>Menu=>Favorites...=>Add/Delete =>Add
Name: Enter “Smart Homepage” (or any name)‏
Address (URL): Enter 'http://wap.smart.com.ph'
Press Add, Press ok
To start surfing the internet, go to the Internel Explorer Mobile page
Click Favorites
Click Smart Homepage (or the name entered above)‏


MMS Configuration
Go to Start=>Messaging, Click the upper left heading
Select MMS=>Menu=>MMS Configuration...=>Servers
Click New
Server Name: Enter “myGlobe MMS” (or user's choice)‏
Gateway: Enter “192.40.100.20”
Port Number: Enter “8080”
Server address: Enter ”http://192.40.100.22:10021/mmsc”
Connect via: Select myGlobe MMS
Sending size limitations: Choose from 100K, 200K, 248K
WAP Version: Select WAP 2.0
Press ok, with myGlobe MMS highlighted, Press Set as Default,
Press ok, Return to Start Page

 

Globe GPRS/MMS Settings

go to Start=>Settings=>Personal=>Menus
Place a check on the boxes of Internet Explorer and Messaging
If an Error Message appears, then un-check some of the selected programs and continue with the previous line.
Go to Start=>Settings=>Connections=>Connections=>Advanced=>Select Networks
If there has been previous attempts to configure the settings, delete as follows:
Go to Start=>Settings=>Connections=>Connections=>Advanced =>Select Networks
Select the entry, press Edit, Click General, Click Delete Settings, Click Yes


GPRS
Go to Start=>Settings=>Connections=>Connections=>Advanced=>Select Networks
Programs that automatically connect to the Internet should connect using:
Click “New...”.
Enter a name for these settings: Enter “myGlobe Internet”
Select Modem, Click New...
Enter a name for the connection: Enter “myGlobe GPRS”
Select a modem: Select “Cellular Line (GPRS)”
Press Next
Access Point Name: Enter “www.globe.com.ph”
Press Next, Press Finish

Heading at the upper left side should show myGlobe Internet
Select Proxy Settings
Click the box of “This network connects to the Internet”
Click the box of “This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet”
Proxy Server: Enter “203.177.42.214”
Click Advanced..., Click HTTP
Port: Enter “8080”
Press ok.

Heading at the upper left side should show Network Management
Programs that automatically connect to a private network should connect using:
Click “New...”.
Enter a name for these settings: Enter “Globe MMS”
Select Modem, Click New...
Enter a name for the connection: Enter “myGlobe MMS”
Select a modem: Select “Cellular Line (GPRS)”
Press Next
Access Point Name: Enter “mms.globe.com.ph”
Press Next, press Finish, Press ok, Press ok, Return to Start Page


WAP
Go to Start=>Internet Explorer=>Menu=>Favorites...=>Add/Delete =>Add
Name: Enter “Globe Homepage” (or any name)‏
Address (URL): Enter “http://www.globe.com.ph/globe.asp”
Press Add, Press ok
To start surfing the internet, go to the Internel Explorer Mobile page
Click Favorites
Click Globe Homepage
Return to Start Page


MMS Configuration
Go to Start=>Messaging, Click the upper left heading
Select MMS=>Menu=>MMS Configuration...=>Servers
Click New
Server Name: Enter “myGlobe MMS” (or user's choice)‏
Gateway: Enter “192.40.100.20”
Port Number: Enter “8080”
Server address: Enter ”http://192.40.100.22:10021/mmsc”
Connect via: Select myGlobe MMS
Sending size limitations: Choose from 100K, 200K, 248K
WAP Version: Select WAP 2.0
Press ok, with myGlobe MMS highlighted, Press Set as Default,
Press ok, Return to Start Page

 

Sun GPRS/MMS Settings

Check if the Internet Explorer and Messaging are in the Start Menu
If not then go to Start=>Settings=>Personal=>Menus
Place a check on the boxes of Internet Explorer and Messaging

Go to Start->Settings->Connections->Connections->Advanced->Select Networks

Access Point Name: Enter “WAP”
Press Next, Press Finish

Heading at the upper left side should show “Sun Internet”
Select Proxy Settings
Click the box of “This network connects to the Internet”
Click the box of “This network uses a proxy server to connect to the Internet”
Proxy Server: Enter “202.138.159.78”
Click Advanced..., Click HTTP
Port: Enter “8080”
Press ok.

Heading at the upper left side should show Network Management
Programs that automatically connect to a private network should connect using:
Click “New...”.
Enter a name for these settings: Enter “Sun Internet”
Select Modem, Click New...
Enter a name for the connection: Enter “Sun MMS”
Select a modem: Select “Cellular Line (GPRS)”
Press Next
Access Point Name: Enter “mms”
Press Next, Press Finish, Press ok, Press ok, Return to Start Page


WAP
Go to Start=>Internet Explorer=>Menu=>Favorites...=>Add/Delete =>Add
Name: Enter “Sun Homepage” (or any name)‏
Address (URL): Enter “http://www.suncellular.com.ph”
Press Add, Press ok
To start surfing the internet, go to the Internel Explorer Mobile page
Click Favorites
Click Sun Homepage
Return to Start Page


MMS Configuration
Go to Start=>Messaging, Click the upper left heading
Select MMS=>Menu=>MMS Configuration...=>Servers
Click New
Server Name: Enter Sun MMS (or user's choice)‏
Gateway: Enter “202.138.159.78”
Port Number: Enter “8080”
Server address: Enter ”http://mmscenter.suncellular.com.ph”
Connect via: Select Sun MMS
Sending size limitations: Choose from 100K, 200K, 248K
WAP Version: Select WAP 2.0
Press ok, with Sun MMS highlighted, Press Set as Default, Press ok
